POST-CONFERENCE FIELD TRIP
The post conference field-trip is organized to take place on 16 to 18th July, 2010.
The field trip has the following parameters:
Friday afternoon – departure from Sofia and arriving in Kardjali town, located at 240 km SE from Sofia.
Saturday morning – visit to the trass quarry of “Jelezni Vrata” zeolite deposit.
Saturday afternoon - trip to the zeolitized pyroclastic flow deposits in the vicinity of the village of Dajdovnitsa.
Sunday – visit to the recently discovered Thracian holly city and Byzantine fortress Perpericon, built within zeolitized rocks. Visit to the natural phenomenon called “Rocky Mushrooms” near “Beli-Plast” zeolite quarry.
Sunday afternoon – trip back to Sofia.

Saturday, July 10 – arrival and accommodation;
Sunday, July 11 - arrival, accommodation, registration, welcome reception;
Monday, July 12 - opening ceremony; plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions;
Tuesday, July 13 - plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster session;
Wednesday, July 14 - mid-week excursion, folklore style dinner (optional);
Thursday, July 15 - plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions;
Friday, July 16 - plenary lectures, oral presentations, closing ceremony, field-trip to Kurdjali;
Saturday, July 17 - field-trip to Kurdjali;
Sunday, July 18 - field-trip to Kurdjali; back to Sofia.
